From a rather lovely spot between Saint Julien and Margaux, and planted on gravelly soils, the vines at Château Beaumont are renowned for giving textbook, silky clarets, with excellent structure thanks to the dominance of the Cab Sauv in the blend.

The 2018 was an excellent vintage for Beaumont and the wine, though still young, is already showing rather well with a balanced palate of blue fruit and black cherry. There's a hint of coffee, but nothing to overpower the cassis and berries. A classic claret with an excellent pedigree.
