Château Lanessan is a respected Cru Bourgeois property located in the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux. The 2012 vintage presented some challenges in Bordeaux due to variable weather, but Lanessan was able to craft a classically-styled Médoc red wine likely exhibiting aromas and flavors of blackberry, cedar, and graphite. As a mid-weight Bordeaux with moderate aging potential, the 2012 Lanessan would have benefited from 5-10 years of cellaring to allow its tannins to integrate and its complexity to evolve.
